Today marked a historic moment for the people of Andoni as the Traditional Rulers of Andoni Kingdom officially endorsed the Community Development Plan (CDP) following a comprehensive review and presentation by the Andoni Needs Assessment Committee.

The endorsement took place during a strategic stakeholders’ meeting involving Traditional Rulers, members of MANCOM, ADCOM, representatives of the Local Government Area (LGA), and a PIA Consultant, where the Community Development Plan derived from the Andoni Community Needs Assessment was formally presented and deliberated upon.

Speaking during the meeting, stakeholders described the day as a landmark achievement in the collective effort to promote structured and sustainable development across Andoni communities. The Traditional Rulers, after carefully reviewing the document, expressed satisfaction with the process and outcomes of the needs assessment and the resulting Community Development Plan.

In their remarks, the royal fathers commended the Andoni Needs Assessment Committee for carrying out an inclusive and transparent process that captured the developmental priorities of the people. They noted that the CDP reflects the true needs and aspirations of the various communities within Andoni Kingdom.

One of the stakeholders described the moment as historic, stating:

"Today is historic as the Traditional Rulers happily endorsed our Community Development Plan (CDP), demonstrating their commitment to the growth and progress of Andoni communities."

The endorsement signifies a major step toward the implementation of strategic development initiatives, particularly in areas such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, youth empowerment, and economic development.

The PIA Consultant also acknowledged the importance of the endorsement, emphasizing that the CDP will serve as a critical roadmap for implementing community-driven development projects in line with the provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).

With the approval of the Traditional Rulers, stakeholders expressed optimism that the Community Development Plan will guide coordinated efforts to improve living conditions and foster sustainable development throughout Andoni Local Government Area.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment by all parties to work together to ensure the successful implementation of the plan for the benefit of present and future generations of Andoni people.
